It seems like everyone who comes to Chiang Mai wants to ride elephants or feed elephants, or at least see some elephants.
I told him we could go ride an elephant, and he got a very concerned look on his face and said, “Let’s just look at them.”
I told him we could see them up close, and even touch them, and he got visibly upset and said, “Let’s just look at them from far away.”
So, the elephants are so far away that we can’t even see them!
Gareth took a field trip to the elephant park and Hugo & I did several exciting things, such as Skyping with my parents, taking a selfie in a tuk-tuk:
And feeding some fish:
We also built some sand castles (or “sand mountains” as Hugo calls them), and I got bit by an ant.
All in all a pretty good (albeit elephant-less) day.
